LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz, the senior vice and chief organizer of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, extended her heartfelt appreciation to the people for extending a warm welcome to the three-time former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, upon his return to the country on Saturday.
Taking to her social media account, Maryam Nawaz conveyed her gratitude, stating, 'I want to express my immense gratitude to the citizens from all corners of Pakistan who, alongside the people of Lahore, orchestrated a remarkable reception for their Leader, their Quaid, the one and only Nawaz Sharif! You have made history! Alhamdulillah!'
Nawaz Sharif, the supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a three-time Prime Minister, made a significant return to Pakistan after a self-imposed exile in London that lasted four years.
Upon landing in Lahore from Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif arrived at Lahore's iconic Minar-e-Pakistan monument, which served as the venue for a grand rally organized by the PML-N to welcome the former Prime Minister. His journey was facilitated by a helicopter, and he was accompanied by PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
