KARACHI: In Nazimabad, Karachi, a violent clash between armed supporters of two political parties resulted in the death of a man, identified as 48-year-old Faraz, with another individual, Rao Talha, sustaining injuries, as confirmed by the police.
Both the deceased and the injured were affiliated with a political party. Following the incident, unidentified individuals set two vehicles ablaze in Nazimabad 2, prompting the arrival of a fire tender to extinguish the flames. Law enforcement, including a significant deployment of police and Rangers personnel, has been mobilized in the area.
The escalating political tensions leading up to the general elections on February 8 have contributed to increased confrontations between rival political factions.
