Since the commencement of Israeli aggression on October 7 in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Education reported that 4,551 students have lost their lives, with 8,193 sustaining injuries.
In the Gaza Strip alone, more than 4,510 students were killed, and 7,911 others were wounded, while 231 teachers and administrators lost their lives, and 756 were injured. In the occupied West Bank, 41 students were killed, 282 were injured, and 85 were arrested.
The violence also targeted educational infrastructure, with 281 government schools and 65 UNRWA-affiliated schools bombed in the Gaza Strip, resulting in severe damage to 83 and complete destruction of seven. Additionally, 38 schools were raided and vandalized in the occupied West Bank.
