NEW YORK: Pakistan has called on Muslim countries to work collectively to safeguard the interests of Palestine.
Speaking at an OIC group meeting at the ambassadorial level in New York, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized the devastating impact of the Gaza war on the Palestinian people. He reiterated Pakistan’s support for diplomatic efforts to maintain the Gaza ceasefire agreement and ensure the implementation of its subsequent phases.
He urged strong opposition to any proposals for the expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland and called for concrete steps to achieve a two-state solution. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people and urged the international community
