ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is all set to celebrate its 85th Pakistan Day tomorrow, March 23, 2025, with great zeal and fervor. The day marks the adoption of the historic Lahore Resolution in 1940, which paved the way for the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims in South Asia.¹
The celebrations will begin with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in provincial capitals. Special prayers will be offered in mosques across the country for the progress, prosperity, and development of Pakistan.
A Pakistan Day parade will be held on a limited scale at Aiwan-e-Sadr due to the holy month of Ramazan. President Asif Ali Zardari will be the chief guest at the parade, which will feature contingents from all three armed forces and a fly-past by fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force.
An investiture ceremony will also be held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where the President will confer awards and medals on personalities for their outstanding contributions in various fields. The ISPR has released a special song on Pakistan Day to mark the occasion.
The day is a public holiday in Pakistan, and people will celebrate it with patriotic fervor, hoisting flags, and singing national songs. The celebrations will be a testament to the nation's commitment to its founding principles and its resolve to work towards a brighter future.
