ISLAMABAD: The Caretaker Minister for Railways, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, has unveiled Pakistan Railways' strategic plans to establish a railway network connecting Kohat to Kharlachi, fostering connectivity between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

During a meeting with French Ambassador Nicolas Galey, Minister Tarar also highlighted the investment potential in the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway M-6, considering it an attractive opportunity for France.

Furthermore, he pointed out the expanding scope of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), emphasizing that it provides additional avenues for investment. The PNSC is in the midst of an expansion, opening up diverse investment possibilities, including options for French investors.

Ambassador Galey acknowledged the longstanding history of cooperation between France and Pakistan and expressed the interest of French investors in various projects within Pakistan. He underlined the array of investment opportunities available for French investors in Pakistan.

Minister Tarar also noted Pakistan's continuous democratic governance since 2008 and highlighted the country's promising future. Moreover, he mentioned that Alstom, the French transport company, is reinforcing its presence in Pakistan, signifying a significant step toward expanded investments.

Ambassador Nicolas Galey conveyed his commitment to boost French investments and infuse substantial capital into Pakistan.
