Pakistan sees rise in gold prices

In Karachi, the rate for 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs 1600 in the local market on Tuesday.

The All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported a Rs 1600 increase in the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold, reaching Rs 221,300 domestically. Additionally, both per tola and 10-gram silver prices rose by Rs 1372 to Rs 189,729.

Internationally, gold prices saw a $12 hike to $2094, marking a 0.6% increase in spot gold, reaching $2074.01 per ounce at 0757 GMT. US gold futures also climbed by 0.6%, reaching $2083.00 per ounce.

In other markets, spot silver increased by 1% to $24.04, while palladium slightly rose by 0.2% to $1,100.90 per ounce. Platinum, however, experienced a 0.2% decline, reaching $985.79.
