Pakistan wheelchair cricket team honored with cash prize following Asia Cup win

The Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Mr. Zaka Ashraf, has presented a cash award of PKR 3.6 million to the Pakistan Wheelchair Team, champions of the T20 Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup 2023 held in Nepal.

The Pakistan wheelchair cricket team exhibited outstanding performances, securing consecutive victories in the T20 Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup. Emphasizing inclusivity and diversity in sports, the PCB recognizes and supports achievements regardless of abilities.

During the event, Mr. Zaka Ashraf commended Chairman of Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket (PWCC) Rukhsana Rajput, Manager Zawar Noor, Assistant Manager Javed Babar, Captain Mohammad Zeeshan, and the victorious squad.

Addressing the Asia Cup champions, Mr. Zaka Ashraf expressed his sincere congratulations, stating, "We take pride in all the players and PWCC management for this remarkable achievement. Your exceptional skills are making Pakistan known globally. The PCB is committed to providing enhanced grounds and training facilities for the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket team."

COO PCB, Mr. Salman Naseer, conveyed congratulations on behalf of PCB and the management committee, praising the team as representatives of Pakistan. He celebrated their consecutive titles, highlighting their bravery and resilience on the international platform.
