ISLAMABAD: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan met with the Prime Minister to discuss key areas of cooperation, including counter-terrorism and economic collaboration.
The Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings to Chinese leadership and congratulated them on the successful convening of the “Two Sessions” of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
He expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and acknowledged China’s unwavering support on Pakistan’s core issues. The discussion also covered security cooperation and counter-terrorism efforts. The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening the “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” with China.
Marking the tenth anniversary of the Chinese President’s historic visit to Pakistan, the Prime Minister directed preparations for its commemoration. He also reiterated an invitation for the Chinese President to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
Emphasizing the importance of timely implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, he called for close collaboration to ensure their completion.
The Chinese Ambassador commended Pakistan’s progress in improving macroeconomic conditions and reaffirmed China’s continued support for Pakistan’s national development.
