Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar has issued instructions to Minister for Privatization Fawad Hasan Fawad to take charge of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) privatization process and expedite it promptly.
While presiding over a meeting concerning PIA-related matters, the prime minister emphasized the need for urgent progress in order to enhance service reliability for users and bring the national flag carrier up to global aviation standards.
He urged all relevant stakeholders to promptly address issues related to privatization.
During the meeting, the prime minister received an update on the status of the PIA privatization process and extended a warm welcome to the new caretaker privatization minister, Fawad Hasan Fawad, as part of his team.
