KARACHI: A JUI-F delegation visited the Muslim League House in Karachi for discussions with PML-N representatives prior to the upcoming general elections.
The JUI-F team, led by Syed Hamadullah Shah and Akbar Shah Hashmi, engaged in talks with PML-N's Nehal Hashmi, Saad Shafique, and other leaders regarding seat adjustments and their collaboration in the February elections.
The focus of their discussions included strategies to consolidate the anti-PPP voter base in Sindh and the potential of fielding joint candidates. Previously, MQM-P and PML-N had agreed on forming an alliance in Sindh. PML-N's central leaders, including Khawaja Saad Rafique, held discussions with various opposition parties in Sindh, aiming to form a grand alliance ahead of the 2024 elections.
After meetings with MQM-P and other parties, Rafique announced plans for joint teams but clarified that seat adjustment discussions hadn't taken place. The PML-N and MQM-P declared their intent to contest the 2024 elections in collaboration.
