The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has called for an urgent meeting of the party's Chief Executive Committee (CEC) scheduled for January 3rd in Lahore.

This high-level gathering, considered the PPP's primary decision-making body, aims to address crucial matters concerning the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Sources suggest that during the meeting, PPP leadership intends to discuss the inclusion of new members into the party fold and assign election-related responsibilities to existing members. Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari plans to travel to Lahore to attend this session, while PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari will participate via video link.

Reports indicate that former President Asif Ali Zardari is set to oversee PPP's nationwide election campaign. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to spearhead the party's election campaign and is planning a series of public meetings, with a schedule in the works. These meetings will feature addresses by the party's prominent leaders.

Bilawal Bhutto is slated to hold rallies across all four provinces, while Asif Zardari aims to participate in public meetings in Punjab and Balochistan. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari is also expected to join Bilawal in some of these public gatherings. Bilawal will focus on addressing meetings in significant constituencies and division-level party sessions.
