The leadership of the People's Party has initiated internal discussions regarding their election strategy, with a focus on potential seat adjustments with other parties and independent candidates in various provinces.

Reports suggest that the PPP has reached an agreement on seat adjustments across all four provinces. The party intends to finalize arrangements with other political entities or independent candidates through mutual agreement.

Sources indicated that in the 2018 general elections, PPP candidates secured the runner-up position in numerous constituencies.

Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari is anticipated to visit Lahore on Friday to engage with various politicians during his visit. His agenda includes meetings with PPP leaders from South Punjab and Lahore to deliberate on the party's approach for the upcoming general elections.

Additionally, Zardari plans to hold consultations with senior party figures regarding potential candidates in Punjab, according to insider information.

There is an expectation among party sources that several leaders may join the PPP following the announcement of the election schedule by the ECP.

Zardari has set up various committees aimed at engaging with influential figures and political stakeholders, intending to bolster the party's positioning for the 2024 elections. These committees have been formed across provinces to facilitate dialogues with politicians.

Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Faisal Karim Kundi, Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, and Sajid Toori will constitute the committee in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Sindh, Saeed Ghani and Nasir Hussain Shah, while in Baluchistan, Chengez Khan Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar, and Sabir Ali Baloch are part of the committees formed for these regions.
