ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday commended the security forces for successfully eliminating seven terrorists during two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In an official statement, the President lauded the bravery and dedication of the security personnel in neutralizing the Fitnat-ul-Khawarij terrorists. He emphasized that the sacrifices and relentless efforts of Pakistan’s security forces are crucial in maintaining peace and stability in the country.
President Zardari reiterated the nation's strong resolve to eradicate terrorism and ensure a secure future for all Pakistanis. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting security agencies in their mission to wipe out extremist elements from the country.
The recent successful operations in DI Khan are part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign to combat rising militancy, particularly in KP and Balochistan. Security forces continue to conduct operations against terrorist groups involved in attacks on law enforcement agencies and civilians.
The President urged unity among the nation to stand against terrorism and support the armed forces in their fight against extremism.
