TURKEY: On Monday, President Asif Ali Zardari met with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a brief stopover at Istanbul Airport while en route to Portugal.
The meeting, which was attended by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, provided an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss their bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
In the cordial exchange, both President Zardari and President Erdogan reaffirmed the strong ties between Pakistan and Turkey, while also discussing ways to further strengthen cooperation in various fields. The meeting concluded with the exchange of courtesies, reflecting the close and enduring relationship between the two nations.
Following the meeting, President Zardari continued his journey to Portugal, where he is scheduled to express his condolences on the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan.
