The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a significant drop in its benchmark KSE-100 index, losing over 800 points in intra-day trading on Tuesday.

The PSX reported a loss of 847 points, causing the KSE-100 index to fall below the 64,000-point threshold, trading at 63,421 around 10:53 am. This followed a bearish trend on Monday, where the KSE-100 index lost 368.26 points, closing at 64,269.38 points.

During that day, a total of 382,012,304 shares, valued at Rs.14.076 billion, were traded, compared to the previous day's 643,307,931 shares valued at Rs.20.021 billion. Among the 363 companies trading shares, 96 recorded gains, 249 sustained losses, and the share prices of 18 remained unchanged.
