ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has dismissed all rumors and false information regarding the suspension of internet services during the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8. Reacting to these rumors, the PTA emphasized that the government of Pakistan has no intention of suspending internet services nationwide on election day.

A spokesperson for the PTA reiterated the authority's dedication to ensuring uninterrupted internet connectivity on this crucial day. This commitment aims to enable users to maintain communication and access information seamlessly, both for the electorate and the general public.

Previously, speculations about internet suspension on February 8 had been circulating. However, the government, recognizing the pivotal role of the internet in contemporary life and the economy, has affirmed its commitment to ensuring accessibility to digital platforms.
