An accountability court in Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for Imran Khan, the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in the Toshakhana and £190 million Al-Qadir Trust Case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed the application, and the court approved the warrants during the hearing. The prosecutor requested immediate action from the Adiala Jail Superintendent, and the warrants are expected to be executed today.
Imran Khan, currently in Adiala jail since his arrest on August 5, will be briefed on the reasons for his arrest. The Al-Qadir Trust case involves an alleged gain of land and a loss of 190 million pounds to the national exchequer.
