PTI has lodged a petition with the Sindh High Court (SHC) opposing the potential arrest of more than 4,000 party workers.
The petition, filed by Wahab Baloch advocate on behalf of PTI leader Dr. Masroor Sial, alleges that these tactics are employed to impede PTI's success in the upcoming elections.
The petitioner contends that 4,000 PTI workers may face arrest on election day at polling stations and has urged the court to issue a restraining order against the anticipated arrests of PTI leaders and party members. The petition lists the IG Police, all SSPs of Karachi districts, and the election commission as respondents.
Pakistan's general elections for 2024 are scheduled for February 8th, just a week away on Thursday.
