In Nankana Sahib, senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Rana Tanveer, strongly criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday.

He voiced his opinions, stating, "The 2018 general elections were marred by extensive rigging. Leadership was handed over to an incapable person [PTI chief], who assumed government responsibilities."

Tanveer lamented that during the PTI's tenure, the government primarily resorted to labeling others as thieves, resulting in a decline in the strength of key institutions. He also addressed the PTI's agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), noting, "The PTI entered into an agreement with the IMF under stringent conditions, leading to severe consequences for the country."

Emphasizing that the PML-N has consistently prioritized the nation over politics, Tanveer recalled the party's achievements. "The PML-N successfully resolved power outages and played a crucial role in curbing inflation and terrorism in the country."

He lauded PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, describing him as a beacon of hope for Pakistan. Tanveer anticipated an enthusiastic welcome for Nawaz Sharif on October 21, with millions of people showing their support.

Furthermore, Tanveer condemned India's involvement in recent acts of terrorism, suggesting that the Indian spy agency was implicated. He expressed concern over India's alleged role in the murder of Hardeep Singh in Canada, stating that India continued to target Sikh leaders advocating for freedom. He characterized India as one of the world's most significant "terrorist countries" and called on Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used for terrorist activities.
