KARACHI: A judicial magistrate on Monday remanded Sahir Hasan, son of renowned actor Sajid Hasan, into police custody for one day in a drug-related case.
Sahir Hasan was taken into custody during a police crackdown on drug-related activities following the Mustafa Amir murder case in Karachi. The police presented him before the judicial magistrate, seeking a five-day physical remand, but the court granted only one day.
As part of the operation, the investigation team raided multiple locations in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area, targeting drug suppliers. Four individuals, including the son of the Dhoop Kinare actor, were apprehended.
According to police sources, the suspects were detained on charges of drug trafficking and will be interrogated further. The CIA Police claimed to have recovered drugs worth Rs 5 million, including foreign brands, from Sahir Hasan’s possession.
During interrogation, Sahir Hasan allegedly confessed to selling drugs for two years to several individuals, including Armaghan, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir case. Investigators further disclosed that on January 2, Mustafa Amir acquired two grams of drugs from him on credit. Later, on January 15, Armaghan and another individual, Shiraz, purchased an ounce of drugs worth Rs 350,000 from him.
