The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) declared Monday (December 25) as a bank holiday in observance of both Quaid-i-Azam Day and Christmas, as announced on Thursday.
This announcement was conveyed by the central bank through its official X account. The upcoming week will mark the celebration of the 147th birth anniversary of Pakistan's founder, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
In a previous announcement, the interim federal government declared that employees from the Christian community would receive their salaries and pensions on December 20, five days ahead of Christmas.
In the twin cities, the preparations for Christmas have intensified, with homes and churches embellished with Christmas trees, flags, shimmering lights, and bright electric lamps.
