Veteran Pakistani actress Shagufta Ejaz candidly discussed her second marriage to Yahya Siddiqui, which followed her experience as a single parent to her two daughters.
Appearing on a comedy show on a private news channel, Shagufta Ejaz disclosed that Yahya Siddiqui had proposed to her for marriage, and she took two years to accept his proposal. She attributed this delay to her concerns about Siddiqui's ability to fulfill the role of a caring father to her daughters from her previous marriage. She emphasized that her only condition for accepting the proposal was Siddiqui's willingness to treat her daughters as his own.
After observing Siddiqui's interactions with her children during this period, she became convinced that they would be in good hands with him. Shagufta Ejaz has two elder daughters, Anya and Haya, from her first marriage, both of whom are now married.
With Yahya Siddiqui, she shares two more daughters, Nabiha and Emaan, while Siddiqui also has two sons from his previous marriage.
