KARACHI: The Sindh government has declared April 4 as a public holiday to commemorate the 46th death anniversary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. This announcement was made through a notification issued by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, stating that all provincial government offices, autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils will remain closed on the day.¹
To pay tribute to Bhutto's legacy, the PPP will organize a condolence gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on April 4, which is expected to attract party workers and supporters from across the country.
In a recent ceremony, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred Pakistan's highest civilian honor, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, on Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, recognizing his remarkable contributions to the country. Bhutto's daughter, Sanam Bhutto, received the award on his behalf.
