KARACHI: Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar inaugurated a hybrid city bus project in Karachi, unveiling 30 hybrid and 50 electric buses allocated to the provincial transport department. These buses are designated to operate on various routes across Karachi.
During a subsequent address at the ceremony, the provincial chief minister emphasized the government's commitment to addressing the city's transportation challenges. He highlighted the signing of an agreement with the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation as part of these efforts.
The intra-district People’s Bus Service project, initially launched in June 2022 during the PPP’s tenure in Sindh, introduced these buses, imported from China, aimed at enhancing public transportation within Karachi.
