KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a two-day public holiday on April 20 and 21, 2025, in connection with the Easter celebrations.
A formal notification was issued by the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department (SGA&CD), confirming the holidays for all relevant government departments. This initiative is aimed at facilitating the Christian community in celebrating Easter with ease and joy.
In addition to the holidays, the Sindh government has also ordered the early disbursement of salaries for Christian government employees, enabling them to make necessary preparations for the festivities. The Christian community across the province has welcomed the announcement warmly.
Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Anthony Naveed, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for the thoughtful decision, describing it as a gesture of inclusion and respect toward the minority community.
