The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023-24 is being re-conducted across Sindh on Sunday, engaging 41,000 students after the earlier test faced cancellation due to cheating concerns.
Within the province, there are 4,790 available seats—3,600 for MBBS and 1,190 for dental studies—at both public and private medical institutions.
The exam, which commenced at 10:30 am, is accommodating 41,000 students from across Sindh, with designated centers in Karachi (Expo Centre), Jamshoro (Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences), Shaheed Benazirabad (Bilawal Sports Complex), and Larkana (Police Training School bus terminal).
The distribution of students across these centers is as follows: 15,000 in Karachi, 13,000 in Jamshoro, 4,000 in Benazirabad (Nawabshah), and 9,000 in Larkana.
Addressing the press at the Karachi Expo Centre, DUHS Pro Chancellor Prof Nazli Hussain, the focal person for MDCAT, assured stringent security measures to prevent any unfair means during the simultaneous conduct of the exam at the designated centers province-wide.
