In Karachi, the price of gold experienced an upward trend, with the per tola rate of 24-karat gold surging in both the global and local markets on Wednesday.
Reports indicate a rise of Rs 900 per tola in the 24-karat gold price within the country. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association disclosed that following this increase, the per tola price of gold reached Rs 218,500.
The Jewelers Association further highlighted that the price of 10 grams of gold also escalated by Rs 771, now set at Rs 187,328.
Officials attributed the hike in gold prices to a $13 surge, reaching $2060 per ounce in the global market.
Conversely, the price of silver per tola witnessed a decrease of Rs 20, now resting at Rs 2650.
