Five foreign nationals traveling in a vehicle were attacked by terrorists in Landhi's Mansehra Colony, but all were safely relocated to an undisclosed location, according to police officials speaking to a private news channel on Friday.

DIG East Azfar Mahesar stated that the attackers were on foot, according to preliminary investigations. He also mentioned that six hand grenades, an SMG, and three magazines were recovered from the militants.

The attackers carried two bottles of petrol, all stored in a bag with them, the police official added.

The blast caused damage to a nearby vehicle and motorcycle after the terrorist detonated explosives, the DIG disclosed. A police mobile stationed at a nearby petrol pump responded to the explosion, and the personnel from the Sharafi Goth police station confronted the terrorists.

The attack occurred at 6:50 am, as revealed by the DIG East. He noted that there was a company vehicle with security guards following the targeted vehicle carrying the employees.

During the incident, the terrorists opened fire on the van, leading the security guards to retaliate. One terrorist was shot dead by the guards, while another blew himself up near the van, causing casualties.

Efforts will be made to identify the deceased terrorist using his fingerprints, the police official stated, adding that security threats concerning foreigners in the city had already put the police on alert.

An earlier report suggested that the vehicle was targeted in a suicide attack, but two terrorists were killed in the process. The attackers, on a motorcycle, carried out the attack, with grenades and a Kalashnikov found at the crime scene.

SSP Malir Tariq Mastoi confirmed the suicide attack, noting damage to another vehicle in the explosion. Gunfire was also reported at the scene.

According to initial police reports, the second terrorist killed was also a suicide bomber, with explosives tied to his body. A bomb disposal team was dispatched to the site.

Injured individuals were taken to a nearby hospital, while the nationality of the victims remained undisclosed. The law enforcement agency mentioned that the foreign nationals were employed in the export processing zone.

A security guard accompanying the nationals witnessed the incident, stating they had departed from Zamzama in two vehicles, with a loud explosion heard near Mansehra Colony, followed by terrorist gunfire at the vehicle.
