The hearing on the Toshakhana reference involving former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Yousuf Raza Gilani, former President Asif Ali Zardari, and others has been postponed until December 20.
Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir presided over the reference on Thursday, with the attendance of Nawaz Sharif's legal representatives Qazi Misbah and Arshad Tabriz, along with NAB prosecutor Irfan Bhola and Sohail Arif.
During the proceedings, the prosecutor requested additional time for ongoing developments. Qazi Misbah informed the judge that Nawaz Sharif participated in the investigation, responding to a provided questionnaire. He emphasized that during the NAB reference filing in 2019, the former premier was dealing with severe health concerns.
Misbah asserted that there was no record of Nawaz Sharif requesting the car, and no documentation supported any such demand.
Responding to the arguments, the court inquired of the NAB prosecutor about the course of action. The prosecutor mentioned that the bureau would examine the matter for subsequent steps.
Following these discussions, the judge adjourned the hearing until December 20.
