Islamabad: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has unveiled additional measures aimed at providing relief to the public ahead of the Ramadan package.
As per the latest announcement, the USC has decreased the prices of various items included in the Ramadan package. Reductions have been implemented on multiple products such as ghee, cooking oil, tea, soap, and washing powder.
The price cuts range from Rs4 to Rs100 per kilogram for ghee and cooking oil, while branded tea prices have been slashed by up to Rs100.
It is noteworthy that the USC is set to initiate the Ramadan relief package next month, with further price reductions anticipated under this initiative.
The Ramadan package is poised to offer relief on 19 essential items. Reports suggest that a budget of over Rs7.49 billion has been allocated for this purpose, with the package slated for implementation starting from March 4th.
During the cabinet meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Kakar, decisions endorsed in the ECC meeting were ratified.
