Karachi: Mother arrested for throwing newborn from 6th floor. A woman in Karachi's Liaquatabad No.4 threw her newborn from a sixth-floor building and has been apprehended by the police.
She is reportedly a drug addict and suffering from mental health issues. The woman, who is divorced and residing at her brother's house, will undergo psychiatric evaluation.
In a similar incident in 2021, another woman in her early 30s jumped from a six-story building in Gulshan-e-Iqbal with a two-year-old child after being confined by her family due to drug addiction. Eyewitnesses revealed she initially threw her mobile phone to attract attention."
