An Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore formally charged PTI leaders Yasmeen Rashid and Ijaz Chaudhry, along with another PTI member Rubeena Jameel, in the case involving the burning of a police van on May 9.
The case originated from the Sarwar Road police station in Lahore. During the court session presided over by ATC admin judge Abhar Gul Khan, all three accused pleaded not guilty and expressed their intent to contest the charges.
The court scheduled the appearance of prosecution witnesses to provide their statements and postponed the hearing until December 16.
In May this year, PTI supporters staged widespread violent protests following the arrest of the party's chairman and former prime minister in the Toshakhana case.
